The Zhiyun Assistant App interface has gotten a fresh new look, and it isn’t all purely cosmetic. The app now shows remaining battery life in a large, easy-to-read dial. The buttons to access calibration, firmware upgrades, stabilizer settings and remote control functions are all there, but they are now larger and grouped conveniently together at the bottom of the screen. The remote control panel has gone from one to two separate joysticks and includes an on/off switch for the app. Zhiyun has also added a photo app, but I haven’t had a chance to play around with it yet. When connected to Wifi, the app will also take the user to online video tutorials. It is great to see a company continually evolving and striving to enhance the user experience.
